Cub Scout Field Trip to the Apple Store

On Monday May 2, Benjamin's Wolf Den took a field trip to the Apple Store at San Tan Mall. And, Daniel was able to come along, too. The kids learned all about computers, sent messages to their moms, learned about making movies and got a t-shirt, too! What a fun, educational night!!

Easter Egg Hunt at the Dickinsons!

After a busy day celebrating Easter at church, then with the Brixeys, and with the Kellers, we headed over to the Dickinsons for an Easter Egg hunt as the sun was setting. They had over 200 eggs for the kids to find, loaded with candy and money. The kids had a blast finding the eggs and it was the perfect way to end a wonderful day celebrating the resurrection of our savior!

Easter Morning

We met several of our dearest friends at 7am on the church lawn for brunch and an Easter egg hunt before church on Easter morning. It was a beautiful morning and a great way to start this very special day!

Daniel and Benjamin Throw an Awesome Easter Party!

On April 21, just a few days before Easter, Daniel and Benjamin closed off their room for the day while they prepared an awesome Easter Party for the entire family! These boys really worked hard and thought of everything! They decorated, planned games and kept it all a surprise until the unveiling that evening. We played pin-the-tail-on-the-bunny, had an egg hunt, played hot-potato-egg, and they even made a pinata!! We had a great time at the party, and the boys really worked hard together to plan it. Way to go!!

Daniel's Speech

On Monday, April 18, all of the scouts in Daniel's Freedom Fighter Den were asked to give a short presentation about themselves. Daniel made a great poster, printed off copies of his resume and gave an awesome presentation about one of his favorite topics: himself! He showed great poise and preparedness. Way to go, Daniel!

The Kellers go Camping!

The Kellers spent the weekend of April 1-3 camping in beautiful Oak Creek Canyon. We went with six other families (the Storks, the Nails, the Fenders, the Webbs, the Youngs and the Ponders). Altogether, there were 19 boys, one girl, six moms and seven dads. It was a blast! The kids had a great time hiking, playing in the creek (and falling in!), exploring, playing with sticks, roasting marshmallows, playing football and just being with their friends outside. The first night was COLD and we didn't know if we could stand another night, but we toughed it out and the second night was much better--we even got a good night's sleep! We can't wait for our next big camping trip, it's so much fun!!!
