Champions!

On Saturday, February 26, Daniel, Benjamin and Ethan all played in their teams' flag football bowl games. Ethan's team, the Falcons, was in the division championship game. They played a great game and walked away with some awesome runner-up trophies. Benjamin's team, the Red Raiders, was in a heated battle for third place. They won their game and they too received some pretty awesome trophies. Daniel's team, the Scorpions, played with a ton of heart and determination. While the final score didn't reflect their effort and excitement, it was a great season for this awesome group of boys. We really enjoyed being a football family for a season and we are looking forward to doing it again in the fall. Our boys all learned a lot, made significant improvements and had a bunch of fun! Go Teams!

Boyce Thompson Arboretum Field Trip

On Wednesday, February 23, our history home school co-op had a field trip to the Boyce Thompson Arboretum. It was the perfect day to gather together and take the Plants of the Bible Tour. We met at 10am, and the tour lasted for about an hour and a half. We divided into two groups, third grade and up, and second grade and under. We saw sycamore trees, gopher wood trees, rose of Sharon, lilies of the valley and even a frankincense plant! Afterwards, we had a picnic lunch together and the kids hiked (and some even got lost!) in the mountains.

Musical Instrument Museum

What a blessing! On President's Day, Grandma and Grandpa Keller took the boys for a day so mom and dad could get some work done around the house. The boys had a great time with their grandparents visiting the Musical Instrument Museum in Scottsdale. Daniel loved playing the harp, Benjamin and Ethan both enjoyed the unusual guitars while Noah loved everything! The boys had a great day and mom and dad got the family room completely painted!

Happy Valentine's Day!

We really missed having Dad home on Valentine's Day as he was in Helena, Montana testifying on a School Choice bill before their state legislature. We were still able to have a really loving, fun day together. For lunch, the boys had special sandwiches cut into hearts. We are a truly blessed family that loves each other very much!

100th Day of School

Thursday, February 3 was the 100th day of school! We celebrated this milestone by making 100 snickerdoodles! It was so much fun, and yummy too!!

Sleep Over with Aubrey and Jack

Cousins Aubrey and Jack spent the night on Friday night, January 21. The kids had a great time together. We had grilled cheese sandwiches, fries and of course ice cream for dinner. Then the kids got creative and made a movie/infomercial together about the infamous Tim Keller all-junk food diet. You are guaranteed to get dramatic results if you follow this diet plan! The kids all get along so well and we always make precious memories with our special cousins!

Pinewood Derby Cars!

Check out these awesome Pinewood Derby Cars! This year, Daniel got really creative and didn't even make a car. He opted instead for a ship--a famous pirate ship--The Black Pearl! With Captain Jack steering the Pearl, it's a sure winner! Benjamin took a more traditional approach. He went with a sleek and sophisticated race car, certain to zoom past the finish line. And, even though Ethan isn't a Cub Scout yet, he wanted to get in on the race car action and made a powder blue dragon fly speedster. What a great time the boys had making their cars. Super job, boys!
