Every Friday, Daniel and Benjamin attend a program in the Kyrene school district called Casa Vida, and Friday August 14 was the first day of the new school year. Casa Vida is just for homeschooled kids and it's a day full of enrichment activities. The boys spend their mornings in "regular" classrooms doing science, centers, journals, computer lab and Spanish. Then they go to the cafeteria for lunch, which they can bring or buy. After lunch, they rotate through three special classes: art, music and PE. Daniel and Benjamin have the same teachers this year as they did last year, Ms. Caviglia for Benjamin and Ms. Sheehan for Daniel. It's great for them to be on their own for one day of the week, and it lets Mom get caught up lesson planning and grocery shopping.
