On Monday, March 1, both Bear Den 11 and Tiger Den 13 had a fun field trip to Gilbert Fire Station #1. The boys all had a great time touring the fire station. They were able to see the kitchen and dining room; the sleeping quarters; the training room and the weight room. They also were able to see all of the equipment the fire fighters use--the jaws of life, axes, protective suits, hoses, the slide and pole, the sirens, and best of all--the ladder truck--which was fully extended just for our scouts!! The boys had a blast exploring, learning and asking great questions. A big hearty thanks to our heroic and helpful friends at Gilbert Fire Station#1.
