One of the most important events on the Cub Scout Calendar is the Pinewood Derby! The Derby itself is on Saturday, January 23. But during the weeks beforehand, the boys were busy designing and creating their cars. We had a den-wide derby car cutting event at our house on January 9. Mr. Canode brought over his band saw and cut about 20 cars in 2 hours--including Daniel's and Benjamin's. He did a great job and helped out many families! After the cars were cut, it was up to us to put on all of the finishing touches--paint, decals and weights! The boys did a great job. Benjamin made a super-cool race car and Daniel made a pizza delivery truck--his very own idea--and a tribute to his favorite food! Great job, Cub Scouts!!
